Approach top

It is at this point that the work of a Project really starts. The Project Board has now Authorised the PID, the Project Plan and the Initiation Phase/Stage Plan. Before assigning teams to start work on the Specialist Products, the Project Management Team must:

  • obtain confirmed access to the Resources and the Project Facilities needed to accommodate and support them
  • finalise the Quality Plan
  • review the finalised draft of the Quality Plan with whoever has responsibility for Project Assurance (and if appropriate, the person the Customer has designated as a representative for Quality Engineering, possibly the Senior User)
  • submit the Quality Plan to the Project Board for Approval (Authorise Activity)
  • initiate application of the Approved Quality Plan
  • initiate the capture of Project Control Data.
