Project Startup / Closure Confirmation

For a Project: a letter, or email. For a new Bid there is a Management Product called "Bid Notification". A Startup/Closure Confirmation will usually be sent by (or in the name of) the Bid or Project Executive. Its key purposes are:

  • 1. When a Bid/Project is starting, to trigger the creation of the Bid/Project Control Folders and the production of the Bid Plan or the PID and the Project’s Commercial Plan
  • 2. To confirm that the Bid/Project has limited Authorisation to spend part of its Budget on the work needed to prepare the Bid Plan or the PID for Authorisation
  • 3. When a Bid/Project is closing, to trigger Financial Control activities, leading eventually to the winding up of the Bid/Project Control Folders.
