Acceptance Test Plan
description producers & consumers template example
Description top
A document defining for a particular Specialist Product, the Acceptance Tests it must pass, and the procedure for their conduct. Usually these will be associated with a Commercial Event such as delivery to an End User or a Customer by a Supplier. Central to this delivery is agreement that the Specialist Product in question meets its Acceptance Criteria, which will be included in its Product Description. For completeness An Acceptance Test Plan should contain the Product Checklist(s) and Product Descriptions for the Products to be submitted for Acceptance Testing.
For a simple Project with a small number of Phases or Stages, there may be a single Acceptance Test Plan. For a larger or more complex Project an Acceptance Test Plan will probably be prepared for each Phase or Stage of a Project. In this case, the Project Manager should prepare a Master Plan for Acceptance, providing the context for overall Acceptance of the entire delivery, and a "home" for the Acceptance Test Plans for each Phase.
