Introductiontop

If the Proposal is accepted, then an agreement for the work will be negotiated with the Customer or End User, the Bid File will be finalised and passed to the Project Executive, and the Delivery Project will be launched.

If the Proposal is not accepted, then the Bid File will be archived for future reference. In either case the Bid's outcome will be assessed and any lessons recorded. The Bid will be closed.

Agree Customer Contracttop

When a Proposal has been accepted, there will be one important step to complete before success may be claimed: negotiating an agreement for delivery of the solution. This will include what has to be delivered and when, and the obligations and rights of each party. For external work, the agreement will be a legally binding Contract - a Customer Contract. Although it may not be legally enforceable, it is useful and good practice to have a similar agreement for internal work, because it will document the understanding between the provider and the End User, helping to avoid endless debate about who is supposed to do what.

Finalise Bid Filetop

When the Proposal has been submitted, the Bid is almost complete. There may be some changes to the Bid File, for example as a result of concessions made during negotiation of the End User Agreement or Customer Contract. Any outstanding Changes or additions will be added to the Bid File, and those involved in the Bid (including the Bid Board, Resource providers, and the Finance department) will be advised that the Bid is being closed, and if appropriate, that a Project is being launched. A Post-bid Assessment will be initiated.

Launch Projecttop

Once an agreement has been negotiated, the Delivery Project will start. The launch of the Project will involve briefing the key members of the Project Management and handing over the finalised Bid File. This is the point at which the the Core Process Manage Projects is initiated.
