This is the description of how a Project will meet its Project Brief. The focus is on the solution that is to be developed and how the development will be done. This information which should be in a Proposal that has been properly thought through, will include:
- the option chosen for the solution and why it was attractive (including the technical, logistical and operational considerations)
- the development lifecycle and framework to be adopted
- how the solution will be delivered and rolled out.
- the solution's match to existing sytems with which it must interface and interwork.
For smaller-scale Projects it will probably be a section or paragraph in the PID, while for large Projects it will often be a stand-alone document. A draft of the Project Approach may be produced during a Bid, as part of the Provisional Project Materials.
