The decomposition of a the work to be done during part of a Project. It is an hierarchical structure of the Activities in a Phase or Stage. Work Breakdown follows on from Product Breakdown.
Generally a WBS will take the form of a table, a spreadsheet or a block diagram, showing the decomposition in the form of a tree-structure. It is an interim output, produced during the preparation of a Phase Plan or a Stage Plan (see Plan Work).
A Template is not provided.
