An estimate produced by a Project Manager of the elapsed time needed to complete a Project. This estimate is important for two reasons:
- 1. It shows when the Project Manager thinks your organisation will have discharged all its contractual obligations to the Customer. This is an important piece of Project Control Data.
- 2. It provides the basis for estimating how much effort is needed to manage the Project until it is complete. To obtain a forecast of the total Costs to Complete, this estimate of management effort will be added to the estimate of the effort needed to complete and deliver the Specialist Products.
