A Report produced by a Project Manager or Team Manager, providing information about an Exception Condition. A key question in assessing whether an Exception Condition has arisen, is whether the Project has deviated from the Tolerance(s) agreed between the relevant levels of the Project Management Team. Alternatively the Exception might arise because there is a concern that the Project will not achieve its Business Case.
The preparation of an Exception Report will often follow the emergence of an Exception Condition identified during the preparation of a routine Project Status Report.
