The Record that specifies an Activity and describes the contents of an Activity Package. Work is scheduled, delegated, monitored and managed within the Project Teams as Activities which may deliver one or more Specialist Products or the execution of some Role or Job Description.
An Activity is usually at the lowest level of the Work Breakdown Structure. If an Activity requires the development of more than one Product, there may be benefits in breaking it down into lower-level Activities.
The detail an Activity Record contains will depend on the work to be done. It may have a single line entry (item) or there may be several lines (items), each for a distinct step or part of the Activity. This is quite likely if it involves the production of a large or complicated Product, or the execution of a role with a number of differing responsibilities.
